Instructional Services

  • Collaboration – We are more than willing to work with you to help you develop a unit of study or a class project.  We can help locate materials and resources and partner with you to help incorporate technology and information literacy standards into your instruction.

  • Library Media Center Orientation – At the beginning of the school year we work with English classes to schedule an orientation class to introduce students to the library media center.  During this time we go over policies and procedures and make sure the students are aware of the resources the library provides for them.

  • Book Carts – We provide two types of book carts, one for classroom recreational reading, and one for in-class research.  Stop by the library media center to request a cart.

  • Audio Visual Materials – There are many types of AV equipment available for checkout.  TVs, VCRs, DVD players, LCDs, laptops, ELMO, Promethean Boards, CD players, video cameras, digital camera, and many VHS tapes and DVDs are available to be used in classrooms.  Come by the library media center to fill out a request form.

       Reading Services

  • Book Talks – You can schedule your class to come into the library media center, or have a librarian come to your classroom for a book talk.  This is a great way to introduce your students to new books and expose them to different genres!
